I spent most of my journalism career in photography and video, but it was my love of writing that first led me down that path. Below are some examples of the types of writing I’ve done over the years and links where you can read my work.
Most of the writing I’ve done recently was as a digital producer for the York Daily Record. I worked a 6 a.m. breaking news shift which often required me to write short stories that could be posted quickly on social media. Speed and accuracy were of the essence. I’ll be the first to admit that everyone comes back from Iceland feeling like a travel photographer. The scenery is spectacular and it’s hard to take a bad shot anywhere. After a trip in 2016, I wrote a short article and shared some of my own photos which you can check out by clicking on the photo above.
I used to blog
I started a blog in 2005 that was mostly about music. It hasn’t been updated in a few years, but it’s probably my largest collection of writing in one place. If you want to see what was on my iPod in 2006, this is your chance.
